JUNIOR PROGRAM

Our classes are designed for both beginning and returning students who are looking to build on the basics of ballet, jazz, tap, hop hop and more! Our experienced instructors create a challenging and fun environment that encourages students to express themselves through movement and story. With the use of creative themes, our students are able to explore and develop their own unique style. Don't miss out on this opportunity to improve your dance skills and have fun at the same time! Additional technique classes and private lessons are available for students wishing to excel.

6+ YEARS - JUNIOR LEVEL 1 & 2

 

Monday 6:15-7:00pm (contemporary)

Monday 7:00-7:45pm (hip hop)

Tuesday 5:45-6:45pm (jazz/acro)

Thursday 11:00-12:00pm (ballet/tap)

Thursday 12:00-12:45pm (jazz/acro)

Thursday 6:00-7:00pm (junior company team) *additional classes required

8+ YEARS - JUNIOR LEVEL 2

*by placement, x1 additional ballet required

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Skill building classes focus on dance technique through engaging exercises and choreography. Students gain the continued foundation needed to take on new challenges at higher levels. The use of props, games and musical instruments aid learning by creating a fun and engaging environment. These classes meet once weekly and have x1 (single discipline) or x2 (ballet/tap, ballet/jazz, jazz/tap) show costumes in the Winter & Spring Showcase.

JUNIOR COPMANY TEAM

Are you looking to elevate your dancing skills and take them to the next level? Look no further! Our Junior Company team is the perfect opportunity for your dancer. TUITION

For your convenience, tuition can be paid by the season or broken into eleven equal payments. These eleven installment payments are made on the first day of each month in the season Fall/Spring (August-June). 

At Sarasota Dance Academy, we believe that every student deserves to shine on stage without worrying about the extra cost of costumes. That's why we're excited to announce that the winter and spring showcase costumes will be included in your monthly installments. For the winter showcase, we'll be providing rentals to ensure that you look your best without breaking the bank. And for the spring showcase, you'll get to keep your costumes as a memento of your hard work and dedication. So don't worry about the extra expense, just focus on perfecting your performance and wowing the audience. We're committed to making your experience with us as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

What you get! Tuition for each session includes:

One or two for each of their dances in the winter and spring performances.

YEARLY REGISTRATION: $50

1 CLASS $110 per month (x11)

2 CLASSES $180 per month (x11)

3 CLASSES $255 per month (x11)

4 CLASSES $315 per month (x11)

5 CLASSES $350 per month (x11)

6 CLASSES $400 per month (x11)

7 CLASSES $450 per month (x11)

8 CLASSES $475 per month (x11)

Tuition discounts are already included in our pricing structure, the more you take, the more you save! 

 

Siblings receive a 10% discount!

Please note that discounts may not be combined. 

HOW TO REGISTER

1. Create an account with a valid email address and information. Sign
new updated SDA Policies and Waiver.

2. Enter the Credit Card that you want to have on file for payment processing.

3. Register for classes.

*$50 Registration AND first payment will be processed at the time of registration.

 

*Tuition will be processed on the 1st day of each month after enrollment.

WINTER SHOWCASE December 8-9, 2023

SPRING SHOWCASE June 8-9, 2024

DRESS CODE

All dress code items can be conveniently purchased at SDA. They will need the following items:

BALLET/TAP:

-solid color leotard

-pink ballet shoes
-black tap shoes (combo class only)

*Junior 1 - paten Mary Jane, Junior 2 - slip on or lace up
-pink tights (tan tights will also be needed for performances)
-hair must be worn in neat ballet bun


JAZZ/ACRO:
-solid color leotard

-tan convertible tights
-hair may be worn in a neat pony tail or bun

-black fitted shorts or leggings, optional

HIP HOP:

-hip hop or tennis shoes

-hair may be worn in a neat pony tail or bun

-hip hop warm ups, optional

PERFORMANCE INFO

Students enrolled in the Junior Program will participate in both SDA Showcase(s) during the season, Winter & Spring.

 

COSTUMES ARE INCLUDED! One or two costumes per class is included in your tuition payments. Tights and shoes are not included. Please note that students at this level may be cast in one or two performances for each showcase.

 

Children will be inspired to take on the challenges in the coming levels and eager to get back into the studio once they have taken to the stage with smiles and a new sense of confidence!
