
JUNIOR PROGRAM
Beginning and returning students alike build on the basics of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro & tap styles. Classes are challenging and fun! Through the use of creative themes, students learn to express themselves through movement and story. For questions on which level will best suit your child, please contact us.
Additional technique classes and private lessons are available for students wishing to excel.

6-8 YEARS - JUNIOR LEVEL 1

8-12 YEARS - JUNIOR LEVEL 2
At this level dancers are beginning to work towards higher skill levels in their classes. Ballet, jazz & contemporary classes all have a minimum requirement of additional classes that are listed below. Hip hop/acro and tap can be taken independently or added to one of the programs below.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Skill building classes focus on dance technique through engaging exercises and choreography. Students gain the continued foundation needed to take on new challenges at higher levels. The use of props, games and musical instruments aid learning by creating a fun and engaging environment. These classes meet once weekly and have x1 (single discipline) or x2 (ballet/tap) show costumes in the Winter & Spring Showcase.

TUITION
For your convenience, tuition can be paid by the season or broken into eleven equal payments. These eleven installment payments are made on the first day of each month in the season Fall/Spring (August-June).

HOW TO REGISTER
1. Create an account with a valid email address and information. Sign
new updated SDA Policies and Waiver.
2. Enter the Credit Card that you want to have on file for payment processing.
3. Register for classes.
*$50 Registration AND first payment will be processed at the time of registration.
*Tuition will be processed on the 1st day of each month after enrollment.

DRESS CODE
All dress code items can be conveniently purchased at SDA. They will need the following items:
BALLET/TAP:
-solid color leotard
-pink ballet shoes
-black tap shoes (combo class only)
-pink tights (tan tights will also be needed for performances)
-hair must be worn in neat ballet bun
JAZZ/ACRO:
-solid color leotard
-tan convertible tights
-hair may be worn in a neat pony tail or bun
-black fitted shorts or leggings, optional
HIP HOP:
-hip hop or tennis shoes
-hair may be worn in a neat pony tail or bun
-hip hop warm ups, optional
PERFORMANCE INFO
Students enrolled in the Junior Program will participate in both SDA Showcase(s) during the season, Winter & Spring.
COSTUMES ARE INCLUDED! One costume per class is included in your tuition payments. Tights and shoes are not included. Please note that students at this level may be cast in one or two performances for each showcase.
Children will be inspired to take on the challenges in the coming levels and eager to get back into the studio once they have taken to the stage with smiles and a new sense of confidence!
*ballet RAD 1/2 must also be taken with x1 ballet/tap combo class.
*contemporary must also be taken with x2 ballet classes (x2 ballet/tap or ballet/tap + ballet RAD 1/2). The minimum age for this class is 7yrs.
